What is KInIT?

KInIT is an independent institute, dedicated to research of intelligent technologies - artificial intelligence and several areas of computing and information technologies (data science, machine learning, natural language processing, information security, software engineering). The Institute also deals with questions of ethics in information technologies and specifically, in artificial intelligence.

We are the first independent institute of its kind in Slovakia. We are located in Bratislava.

Our vision

The vision of KInIT is to bring world-class quality research and development in the areas of intelligent technologies and computing and to build working collaboration with the private sector, in order to make Slovakia and Europe more successful and competitive.

KInIT will perform basic and applied research in important areas of intelligent technologies.

KIniT stands for values of integrity and transparency in decision making. It also stands for openness, diversity, inclusion, curiosity and enthusiasm for knowledge and its application for a better world.

With whom we will collaborate

Universities

Universities

We aim to collaborate with universities in Europe and also worldwide. We will seek opportunities to participate on research projects together. We will provide our educational capacities to the Slovak universities, first in doctoral, then in master and eventually, in bachelor studies.

Industry

Industry

We will provide our expertise to partner companies through consultations and opening up new topics with potential of new knowledge discovery. Through common publications and patents, we will increase the reputation of our partners. Also, our excellent teachers in areas of artificial intelligence and software engineering will offer education for partner companies’ employees.
